We can’t think of anything more fun than running around the woods at night with your friends. Come race Too Cool’s night only race at beautiful Colorado Bend State Park. The Howl Adventure Race offers something for everyone. Both the 2-4 hr sport sprint and the 4-8 hour adventure sprint will have mountain biking, trail running, caving and paddling. We are stoked to have Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine cover the Howl as part of their Year of Epic Texas Challenges!

Sport Sprint Race Teams of 2 will run, bike, paddle and face team challenges and decisions along the way. This course is designed for the beginner in mind! Too Cool will be providing the boats, racers just need to have a bike, helmet, and a camelback. Be prepared for 1-2 miles of paddling, 8-12 miles of biking and 4-6 miles of trail running plus some surprises. Estimated winning time is 3 hours. This is not an off road Tri!! This is a real adventure race.
Adventure Sprint Race Teams of 2 will receive trail maps and most checkpoints at the start of race. This year’s course will include paddling (Too Cool supplies boats), mountain biking, O leg section (pre plotted topo map) & special challenges. Be prepared for approximately 2-4 miles of paddling (water levels permitting), 15-20 miles of biking and 6-12 miles of trekking. Estimated winning time is 5.5 hours.
