Wild Wendigo Adventure Race February 25, 2017

Teams will bike, paddle and run around Dana Peak Park, centrally located at Stillhouse Lake. The Wild Wendigo Adventure Race offers something for everyone.  Both the 2-4 hr sport sprint and the 4-8 hour adventure sprint will have mountain biking, trail running and paddling. As always we give racers choices for race routes and strategy. Check out the trail map we will be using.

Sport Sprint Race Teams of 2 will run, bike, paddle and face team challenges and decisions along the way. This course is designed for the beginner in mind! Too Cool will be providing the boats, racers just need to have a bike, helmet, and a camelback. Be prepared for 1-2 miles of paddling, 8-12 miles of biking and 4-6 miles of trail running plus some surprises. Estimated winning time is 2.5 hours. This is not an off road Tri!! This is a real adventure race. This race will be capped at 40 teams.

Adventure Sprint Race Teams of 2 will receive trail maps and most checkpoints at the start of race. This year’s course will include paddling, mountain biking, O leg section (pre plotted topo map) & special challenges. Be prepared for approximately 4-6 miles of paddling, 15-20 miles of biking and 6-12 miles of trekking. Estimated winning time is 4.5 hours.

Entry Fee By December 1, 2016-$75 pp sport sprint, $95 pp adventure sprint

 

By January 1, 2017-$85 pp sport sprint, $105 pp adventure sprint

 

By February 1, 2017-$95 pp sport sprint, $115 pp adventure sprint

 

After February 1, 2017–$105 pp sport sprint, $125 pp adventure sprint

 

future AR division discounted $20 per each member 14 and under

 

Fee Includes Land use fees, maps, awesome shwagg (must register by February 1 to ensure), boats for the sport sprint racers (adventure sprint and sport sprint soloists must supply their own, rentals available), team challenges, awards for top finishers,  finisher award

 

 

BOATS-Boat Rental for adventure sprinters can be chosen during registration.
