The Angry Otter Adventure Race will be held at Lake Somerville State Park on March 26, 2022. Teams will bike, paddle, and run on the trails and around the lake. The Angry Otter offers something for everyone. Both the 3-6 hr sprint and the 12 hr adventure course will have mountain biking, trail running, and paddling. As always we give racers choices for race routes and strategy. Check out a map of the area. Too Cool will be based out of Birch Creek Park. We have reserved the entire Group Trailer area.
Sprint Race Teams of 2 or 3 will run, bike, paddle, and face team challenges and decisions along the way. This course is designed for the beginner in mind! Too Cool will be providing the boats, racers just need to have a bike, helmet, and a camelback. Be prepared for 1-2 miles of paddling, 8-12 miles of biking, and 4-6 miles of trail running plus some surprises. The estimated winning time is 3 hours. This is not an off-road Tri!! This is a real adventure race. This race will be capped at 30 teams.
12 hr Adventure Race Teams of 2 and 3 will receive trail maps and most checkpoints at the start of the race. This year’s course will include paddling, mountain biking, O leg section (pre-plotted topo map) & special challenges. Be prepared for approximately 5-7 miles of paddling, 20-30 miles of biking, and 10-15 miles of trekking. The estimated winning time is 9 hours.

BOATS-Boat Rental for 12 hr racers can be chosen during registration for $40 per canoe. We have 12 available. Paddles and pfds will be provided, or you can use your own.
CAMPING-We are stoked to have reserved the entire group camping area this year. If you are interested in camping Friday or Saturday night in the TA plz choose camping option at registration.
